Woking, Surrey · Est. 1985
We fund, support and celebrate the charities and voluntary groups that serve our community — from foodbanks to first responders, arts to advocacy.
Who we are
Woking Community Focus Ltd was formed in 1985. As a not-for-profit, we use surpluses from our letting activities to directly support the local organisations that make a difference in Woking and Surrey.
We provide affordable housing including retirement flats, managed by experienced local agents. Surpluses from our letting activities fund our community grant programme.
We have sponsored over 50 local charities, voluntary groups, schools and special projects across Woking — from literacy schemes to mental health support and everything in between.
Our partners
We are proud to have worked with some of Woking's most dedicated community organisations. Every one of them does extraordinary work with limited resources.
Our history
Founded in 1985 as Greenoak Community Focus Ltd, we have grown our property portfolio over four decades through surpluses from our letting activities — reinvesting in the local community. We held 5 annual Volunteer Awards Ceremonies at the WWF Living Planet Centre until Covid closed their offices, celebrating the many charities and volunteers who provide vital support to Woking residents. In December 2023 we renamed as Woking Community Focus to reflect our renewed focus on our charitable work across the borough.

Woking Community Focus is seeking a voluntary Board Member/Trustee to join our small, friendly team. If you care about the Woking community and want to help direct grant funding to local charities, we'd love to hear from you. The Board meets quarterly in Woking.
