Community support
Woking Community Focus Ltd (WCF) supports local communities. Amongst other activities it provides grant funding for local charities, voluntary groups, schools and special projects. WCF has sponsored over 30 charitable organisations over the years details of which are set out in the list opposite. In addition, for several years from 2015, WCF held a Volunteer Awards Ceremony at the WWF Living Planet Centre in Woking. The aim was to celebrate and reward the many and diverse charities and organisations in Woking and their volunteers, who provide much needed support to local residents. The annual events were a great success and they also provided an opportunity for the charities to exhibit and to exchange ideas and information leading to collaboration on some services.
