Exciting new job opportunity: General Manager part time

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to help develop and manage our affairs. Are you looking for a new challenge and able to work part-time with a small team to run our property management and business affairs?

We have a friendly and committed voluntary Board of Management as well as a part time Treasurer and a Company Secretary.  We are now seeking a General Manager to oversee and manage our affairs on a part time basis for up to two days a week, including oversight of our leasehold retirement and rented properties which are managed by agencies on our behalf.

The post would ideally suit someone with good business and administrative skills who is retired or has a portfolio of roles.  The post holder will be home working and able to work flexibly. Good administrative skills and computer literacy are essential. Experience of property management is an advantage but not essential.

Remuneration:  In the region of £8,000 per annum for up to 2 days a week to be provided flexibly to meet the needs of the business.

Voluntary Board Members/Trustees

Woking Community Focus Ltd (WCF) is seeking two voluntary Board Members/Trustees to join our small friendly team to support local charities and community groups in Woking. We are a small and vibrant ‘not for profit’ body, working in the community and we provide grants to local agencies and projects seeking funding for specific ventures.
We own affordable housing including retirement flats and have grown our property portfolio over the years. Our income helps us give much needed support to local charities and voluntary organisations in Woking.

We have a voluntary Board that oversees our affairs, and a small operations team including a Treasurer, a Company Secretary and an Operations Manager, all providing services on a part-time basis. The Board meets quarterly in Woking.

This is a great opportunity to help us make a real difference in our community.

If you would like to help us support local charities and are interested in discussing this further, please contact diana.kingdon@wokingcommunityfocus.org. We’d love to hear from you.
